CGH-GLENEAGLES DENGUE FEVER COLLABORATION

Singapore is in the midst of the largest dengue outbreak in recent times. As such, restructured government hospitals had been inundated with admissions for patients with dengue fever. Because of the large numbers in the Eastern area, Changi General Hospital has set up a collaboration to send some of their “”overflow””patients with dengue to Gleneagles Hospital. Dr Wong Sin Yew, Director and Infectious Disease Physician, Infectious Disease Specialists, Gleneagles Medical Centre is actively involved in this collaboration and had provided care for many subsidized patients under this special scheme. Our group hopes that our contribution will help ease the workload of our restructured hospitals and we hope to be part of future private public healthcare collaborations
